To be fair, it’s a translation for the ‘Dark Lord’ but calling him Dev makes him sound like a cool demigod, when in reality Voldy was a noob who couldn’t kill a baby properly. Moaning Myrtle is undeniably one of the most annoying characters in the series (barring Umbridge, there’s a special place for her in hell), but Mayoos Meena was peak dramatic and hilarious. Here are the words and phrases we still can’t get over. But the movies in Hindi dubbing were a completely different experience, and allowed us to relive our childhood favourite in a new light, and with great comic elements. They gave us a fictional world to escape to, and obsess over.
